Established in 1980, Scanbox Entertainment is one of the leading independent film distributors in Scandinavia, releasing approximately 30 theatrical titles annually plus 40+ titles direct-to-DVD and VOD. Headquartered in Copenhagen (Frederiksberg) with offices in Stockholm, Oslo/Göteborg, Helsinki, and Reykjavik, the company distributes across all windows and focuses on upmarket international content and local Nordic productions. In 2023, Scanbox joined the pan-European Vuelta Group alongside Playtime and SquareOne, and has since expanded into original film and TV production under its Scanbox Productions label.
