About
The Rogers Documentary Fund, established in 1996, is Canada's premier source of non-recoupable financing for original, high-quality, English- and French-language Canadian documentary films. Administered by the Rogers Group of Funds—a division of Rogers Communications Inc.—it provides grants of up to $100,000 per project for documentaries licensed by national Canadian broadcasters, cable channels, or online platforms. Since its founding, it has pledged more than $42 million to Canadian producers and supported more than 900 documentary projects, injecting up to $3.5 million annually into documentary filmmaking in Canada. It is a Certified Independent Production Fund (CIPF) as determined by the CRTC and operates under the governance of an independent Board of Directors.
