Red Mountain Theatre

Red Mountain Theatre (RMT) is a Tony Award-winning nonprofit professional theatre organization based in Birmingham, Alabama, widely regarded as the preeminent year-round professional musical theatre company in the state. Founded in 1979 as Summerfest Musical Theatre, RMT produces Broadway-caliber musical theatre productions and operates one of the most highly regarded arts education programs in the South, reaching approximately 17,000 students annually. The company operates out of a $25 million, 60,000-square-foot Arts Campus in the Parkside district of Birmingham, which opened in 2021 and includes the 450-seat main stage and a 120-seat Discovery Theatre.
