Pathé (Pathé SAS) is one of the world's oldest and most storied film companies, founded in Paris in 1896, and today France's number one film studio and the leading cinema network in continental Europe. The company is fully involved in all aspects of the film industry — production, distribution, cinema exhibition, and international sales — with a catalogue of over 1,700 feature films. In 2024, Pathé operated 129 theaters with 1,318 screens across the EMEA region and produced blockbusters such as The Count of Monte Cristo, which became France's second-biggest box office hit of the year. The company is privately held by the Seydoux family and has recently relaunched its English-language film business through Pathé UK.
