OLM, Inc. (formerly Oriental Light and Magic) is a Japanese animation and film studio headquartered in Setagaya, Tokyo, founded in 1990 and best known for producing the long-running Pokémon anime franchise since 1997, along with other acclaimed series including Yo-kai Watch, Beyblade Burst, Berserk, Odd Taxi, and The Apothecary Diaries. Since December 2015, OLM has operated as a majority-owned subsidiary of Japan's Imagica Group following an acquisition valued at approximately 2.858 billion yen. The studio operates multiple production teams and a CG/digital subsidiary (OLM Digital), with satellite studios in Malaysia, Thailand, Los Angeles, and domestically in Kodaira, Tokyo. OLM has expanded beyond animation into live-action television and film production, particularly through its collaboration with director Takashi Miike.
