New York Theater Festival

New York Theater Festival (NYTF) is a New York City-based playwright and musical theater festival founded in 2012, operating out of a 99-seat Off-Off Broadway venue in Chelsea, Manhattan. The festival runs two annual seasons — a Spring/Summer Festival and a Fall/Winter Festival — and accepts full-length plays, one-acts, shorts, solos, and musicals from NYC-area playwrights, functioning as both a festival and a competition. Over 15 years and 25 seasons, NYTF has hosted more than 1,600 plays and 400 musicals, awarding over $200,000 in cash prizes to participating artists.
