About
National Asian Artists Project, Inc. (NAAP) is a New York-based 501(c)(3) non-profit theatre organization dedicated to showcasing the work of Asian-American theatre artists through performance, outreach, and educational programming. Founded in 2004 by Baayork Lee, Steven Eng, and Nina Zoie Lam, NAAP operates several flagship programs including the Discover: New Musicals series (staged readings of new works by AAPI artists), the Rediscover Series (classic musical revivals with predominantly Asian-American casts), the NAAP Broadway Community Chorus, and the P.S. 124 Theatre Club serving underserved children in New York's Chinatown. The organization builds bridges between artists of Asian descent and diverse communities across the United States.
