MTV Entertainment Studios

MTV Entertainment Studios was the film and television production and distribution arm of the MTV Entertainment Group and a subsidiary of Paramount Media Networks (Paramount Global/Paramount Skydance). Formed in 2021 as a consolidation of MTV Productions (est. 1991), MTV Films (est. 1996), and MTV Studios (est. 2018), it produced acclaimed scripted and unscripted content—including the Yellowstone franchise, South Park, RuPaul's Drag Race, The Daily Show, and Tulsa King—across cable, streaming (Paramount+), and theatrical channels. In February 2023, it merged with Showtime's production operations to form Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios, and in August 2025 was fully consolidated into the revived Paramount Television Studios following Paramount Global's merger with Skydance Media.
