MountainA is an American artist-led, independent film and television production company co-founded on September 4, 2020 by Academy Award-winning actress/producer Natalie Portman and French producer Sophie Mas. The company focuses on internationally minded, filmmaker-driven stories with a commitment to working with both emerging and established directors across features, limited series, and documentaries. Notable credits include the Todd Haynes feature May December (2023, sold to Netflix for $11M), the Apple TV+ limited series Lady in the Lake (2024), the HBO docuseries Angel City, and the animated feature Arco (Cristal Award winner, Annecy 2025). MountainA holds a first-look television deal with Apple TV+ and is represented by CAA and Frankfurt Kurnit Klein & Selz.
