About

MGM on Stage is the live theatrical production division of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), formed in 2002 by co-presidents Darcie Denkert and Dean Stolber to capitalize on MGM's extensive film library by developing properties for stage production. The division was responsible for bringing major Broadway and West End musicals to life, including 'Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,' 'Legally Blonde,' 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert,' and 'Some Like It Hot,' producing or co-producing approximately 10 shows. Its success was widely credited with inspiring other major Hollywood studios to pursue their own Broadway theatrical ventures. MGM on Stage operates as a subsidiary of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (now under Amazon MGM Studios).
