Margin Films

Margin Films is a Los Angeles-based independent production and distribution company founded in 1996 by filmmaker Quentin Lee with a mission to produce and distribute culturally challenging commercial entertainment. The company specializes in stories from underrepresented communities including LGBTQ+, Asian American, LatinX, Black, and Indigenous audiences. In addition to its U.S. operations, its Canadian affiliate Margin Films Ltd. (est. 2021, British Columbia) produces Canadian Content film and television, including the 2024 Canadian Screen Award-winning series 'Comedy Invasion.' Now celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2026, Margin Films has produced and distributed more than a dozen feature films and four television series.
