Mad Ones Films

Mad Ones Films is a Sydney-based film and television production company co-founded by producers Cyna Strachan and Liam Heyen, who met while studying at the Australian Film Television and Radio School (AFTRS). The company is passionate about female-led stories and those with LGBTQI+ and disability representation, and is supported by Screen Australia's Enterprise program. Their credits include the internationally acclaimed feature JIMPA (Sundance 2025, starring Olivia Colman and John Lithgow), the award-winning series LATECOMERS (AACTA, SPA, ADG Awards), HOMEBODIES (Series Mania 2026 Special Mention), and a catalogue of award-winning short films screened at TIFF, SXSW, Tribeca, and Sydney Film Festival.
