About
Les Films du Losange is France's oldest continuously operating independent film company, founded in 1962 by Barbet Schroeder and Éric Rohmer to produce and distribute auteur cinema. The company played a central role in the French Nouvelle Vague movement and has built a catalog of over 325 feature films by directors including Rohmer, Jean-Luc Godard, Jacques Rivette, Michael Haneke, Lars von Trier, Léos Carax, and Mia Hansen-Løve. Since July 2021, the company has been owned and led by President Charles Gillibert and CEO Alexis Dantec, who acquired it from longtime manager Margaret Ménégoz. Operating across production, French distribution, and international sales, Les Films du Losange remains one of Europe's foremost champions of world cinema and cinematic heritage.
