About

Gotlands Filmfond AB is a 100% publicly-owned regional film fund, wholly owned by Region Gotland (the regional government of Gotland island, Sweden), established in 2000. It invests approximately 3 million SEK annually in co-productions of feature films, TV drama series, and documentary features, with the dual purpose of stimulating economic growth and creative activity on Gotland and enabling the development and financing of Swedish and international film productions. Since 2021, the fund has partnered with Film Stockholm AB to manage applications and co-investments in features and drama series. Over its history it has co-produced more than 50 feature films and drama series, including the Guldbagge Award-winning sci-fi drama Aniara and the internationally acclaimed Bergman Island (Cannes 2021).
