Film4 Productions is the feature film division of Channel 4 Television Corporation, a British public service broadcaster. Founded in 1982, Film4 develops and co-finances bold, original films from distinctive UK and international voices — both emerging and established — and has collectively backed productions winning 43 Academy Awards and 97 BAFTAs, including Poor Things, The Zone of Interest, 12 Years a Slave, and Slumdog Millionaire. Publicly owned but commercially funded, Film4 operates with an annual production budget of approximately £22.5 million, typically backing 10–12 features per year, and was honoured with Screen International's Special Recognition Award for Outstanding Contribution to UK Film in 2023.
