Fifth Chance Productions

Fifth Chance Productions is the female-led production banner of Emmy Award-winning creator, writer, producer, and actress Quinta Brunson, specializing in TV and film with a focus on character-driven narratives and diverse, universal storytelling. Founded in August 2022 in conjunction with Brunson's original overall deal at Warner Bros. Television, the company is best known for producing Abbott Elementary, the acclaimed ABC mockumentary sitcom. In June 2026, Fifth Chance Productions signed a landmark five-year overall deal with 20th Television (Disney Television Studios) — the highest-profile showrunner deal of 2026 — under which Brunson writes, develops, and executive produces series across Disney Entertainment Television's brands and platforms. The banner is currently led day-to-day by Head of Creative Affairs Erin Wehrenberg and is also developing the Betty Boop feature film with Fleischer Studios and the comedy film Par for the Course for Universal Pictures.
