ERT

The Hellenic Broadcasting Corporation (ERT) is the state-owned public radio and television broadcaster of Greece, originally founded in 1936 as a radio service. ERT operates several television channels (ERT1, ERT2 Sport, ERT3, ERT News, ERT Cosmos, ERT Sports 1) and a wide network of national and regional radio stations, as well as the streaming platform ERTFLIX and the news portal ERTnews.gr. Abolished by government decree in 2013 and relaunched in June 2015 under a new government, ERT is a member of the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) and holds the largest audiovisual archive in Greece. ERT is also home to three music ensembles: the National Symphony Orchestra, the Contemporary Music Orchestra, and the Hellenic Radio Choir.
