EDKO Films

Edko Films Ltd. (安樂影片有限公司) is one of Hong Kong's oldest and most prominent independent film companies, founded in 1959 by Kong Cho-yee and led since 1989 by Executive Director William (Bill) Kong. The company operates across the full spectrum of the film industry — producing, distributing, and exhibiting films — and has distributed over 1,500 titles across Hong Kong and mainland China, including international arthouse titles, Hollywood studio films, and major Asian productions. Edko is renowned globally for producing landmark films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, Hero, House of Flying Daggers, Lust Caution, and more recently A Guilty Conscience and Table For Six. In addition to its production and distribution arms, Edko operates the Broadway Circuit, one of Hong Kong's largest cinema chains comprising 13 cinemas, 77 screens, and brands including Broadway, PALACE, My Cinema, B+ Cinema, MOViE MOViE, PREMIERE Cinema, and GALA CINEMA.
