Dark Ways GmbH is a Berlin and London-based development and production company for TV and film, founded in 2019 by Jantje Friese and Baran bo Odar — the creators of Dark, the first German Netflix Original series, and the international multilingual mystery series 1899. The company focuses on developing and producing high-concept genre stories with strong emotional cores for a global audience. Registered in the Handelsregister Charlottenburg (Berlin) under HRB 211089 B, it is one of Germany's most prominent Netflix-aligned production outfits.
