Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture

The Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Culture is the principal government body responsible for cultural policy in the Republic of Cyprus, overseeing heritage, contemporary culture, and the audiovisual sector. Through its Department of Contemporary Culture and the Cyprus Cinema Office, it administers national film funding programmes covering feature, short, documentary, and animation films, as well as the Minority Co-production Scheme supporting Cypriot participation in international co-productions. It represents Cyprus in EU Cinema Expert Groups, the Audiovisual Working Group in Brussels, and is a member of Eurimages, Creative Europe MEDIA, the SEE Cinema Network, and EFAD. The ministry is also responsible for bilateral agreements and the promotion of Cyprus as a filming destination.
