Conan Properties International LLC (CPI) is the intellectual property holding company that owns trademarks and rights related to Conan the Barbarian and other Robert E. Howard characters. Originally a standalone entity, CPI became a wholly owned subsidiary of Paradox Entertainment Inc. in 2002, then passed to Cabinet Entertainment (founded by CEO Fredrik Malmberg) in 2015, and is now ultimately owned by Tencent via Funcom, which acquired Cabinet Group in September 2021. CPI's IP portfolio — including CONAN® and CONAN THE BARBARIAN® trademarks — is managed and developed through the licensing/brand studio Heroic Signatures, with recent activity including a major Netflix deal for live-action and animated films and TV series, and an announced Genndy Tartakovsky animated series.
