Chilean Film Fund

The Chilean Film Fund (Fondo de Fomento Audiovisual / FFA) is Chile's principal public film financing body, created in 2005 under Law No. 19.981 and administered by the Consejo del Arte y la Industria Audiovisual (CAIA) within the Ministry of Cultures, Arts and Heritage. It finances the production and distribution of Chilean audiovisual works across feature films, short films, documentaries, web series, screenwriting, professional training, research, and technological development. The Fund operates through competitive annual open calls and is the primary source of public-sector support for Chilean filmmakers, with its 2026 program lines including feature film production, short films, web series, video games, screenwriting, regional production, distribution, and scholarships.
