About

Belisarius Productions is a Los Angeles-based American television production company founded in 1980 by veteran TV producer and screenwriter Donald P. Bellisario. The company is responsible for some of television's most enduring military-themed dramas, including Magnum P.I., Airwolf, Quantum Leap, JAG, and NCIS — the latter becoming one of the longest-running scripted dramas in CBS history. Bellisario stepped back from active creative involvement around 2007, though the company retains its production credit on ongoing NCIS franchise productions. The company is a small, boutique operation closely tied to the Bellisario family and associated showrunners.
