Anarchists United

Anarchists United is a Los Angeles-based entertainment venture co-founded by filmmaker Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Sense8), Sarah Marie Flores, and Lawrence Mattis, comprised of Anarchists United Foundation (a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit) and its wholly owned production subsidiary, Anarchists United Studios. The studios arm focuses on elevated genre projects — primarily smart genre films with budgets under $10 million — created by artists from underrepresented communities, while also incubating long-form series, microbudget films, and documentaries. The Foundation arm runs filmmaker grants, a Writers Discovery Fellowship, and a Directors Prep & Pitch Lab, all oriented around its core mission of artistry, diversity, and equity in media.
