Anarchists United

Anarchists United is a Los Angeles-based entertainment venture co-founded by filmmaker Lilly Wachowski (The Matrix, Sense8), Sarah Marie Flores, and Lawrence Mattis, comprised of the Anarchists United Foundation (a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 93-2308090) and its wholly owned production subsidiary, Anarchists United Studios. The studios arm focuses on elevated smart genre films with budgets under $10 million, created by artists from underrepresented communities, while also incubating long-form series, microbudget films, and documentaries. The Foundation arm runs filmmaker grants ($20,000 per grant cycle), a Writers Discovery Fellowship (in partnership with Circle Management + Production), and a Directors Prep & Pitch Lab, all oriented around its core mission of artistry, diversity, and equity in media.
