TheaterWorksUSA (TWUSA) is a professional, not-for-profit 501(c)3 theater company founded in 1961 and headquartered in New York City, dedicated to creating exceptional, transformative theatrical experiences for young and family audiences across New York City and North America. With a repertoire of over 140 original plays and musicals adapted from literature and history, TWUSA has reached more than 96 million children, educators, and families, touring productions through all 49 contiguous U.S. states and parts of Canada. The organization is widely regarded as a trailblazer in Theater for Young Audiences (TYA), operating touring productions, a free summer theater program (since 1989), arts education programs, artist management services, and licensing of its productions.
