About

3000 Pictures is a literary-driven film production division of Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group, founded by Elizabeth Gabler (former president of Fox 2000 Pictures, hence the '3000' name) and launched on July 15, 2019 as a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and HarperCollins Publishers, with HarperCollins funding half of the division's overhead and development. The company focuses on adapting fiction and non-fiction literary properties into theatrical feature films, television, and streaming content. Operating on the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, California, its released slate includes Where the Crawdads Sing (2022) and Lady Chatterley's Lover (2022), with upcoming titles including Klara and the Sun (directed by Taika Waititi, starring Jenna Ortega and Amy Adams) and People We Meet on Vacation (Netflix).
