Theodorus Amandus Maria van de Sande (born May 10, 1947, in Tilburg, Netherlands) is an award-winning Dutch cinematographer and ASC member whose career spans over five decades across European and Hollywood cinema. A graduate of the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam (1970), he earned international recognition shooting the Academy Award–winning Dutch film 'The Assault' (1986) before relocating to Los Angeles and going on to shoot iconic Hollywood features including 'Wayne's World,' 'Blade,' 'Volcano,' 'Cruel Intentions,' and 'Big Daddy.' He has also co-produced multiple documentary films with his wife, director Michèle Ohayon, including the Academy Award–nominated 'Colors Straight Up,' and remains active with recent credits including 'La Dolce Villa' (2025) and the upcoming thriller 'The Haunting in Wicker Park.'
