About
Stacy McKee is a television writer, producer, showrunner, and playwright best known as one of only two writers to have worked on Grey's Anatomy from its 2005 premiere through Season 13, ultimately rising to co-showrunner alongside Bill Harper. She created the Grey's Anatomy spinoff Station 19 for ABC, writing the pilot and serving as showrunner and executive producer for its first two seasons (2018–2019). After her overall deal with ABC Studios expired in 2019, she departed Shondaland after more than 15 years and has been pursuing new independent directions. She also wrote the Grey's Anatomy tie-in novel Notes from the Nurses' Station.
