Shawn Schaffer is a New York-based Director of Photography and Cinematographer who has been working in the film and television industry since 2002. He chose a self-directed path over film school, working his way up from production assistant and grip to full-time DP by 2007, accumulating credits across hundreds of projects including commercials, short films, and theatrically distributed features. His most notable credits include the documentary 'Comedy Warriors: Healing Through Humor' (which won a 2014 Television Academy Honor and premiered on Showtime before streaming on Netflix) and the narrative feature 'Fighting for Freedom' starring Bruce Dern and Kristanna Loken. He works nationwide and internationally from his base in New York.
