Roxanne Avent Taylor is a leading independent film producer and Co-CEO of Hidden Empire Film Group (HEFG), the multi-dimensional production and distribution company she co-founded with director-husband Deon Taylor. She has developed, packaged, and produced a commercially successful theatrical slate — including Black and Blue (Sony), The Intruder, Fatale (Lionsgate), Traffik, and the Meet the Blacks franchise — with HEFG amassing over $200 million in earnings. In 2021, she expanded HEFG into distribution by launching Hidden Empire Releasing, and in October 2025 the company signed with CAA for representation. She is also an active philanthropist through her C.L.I.M.B. mentoring program supporting underserved youth.
