Peter Arthur Fincham (born 26 July 1956) is a veteran British television producer and executive who joined TalkBack Productions in 1985, rising to Managing Director and executive producing landmark comedy series including I'm Alan Partridge, Da Ali G Show, and Never Mind the Buzzcocks. He served as Controller of BBC One (2005–2007) and then Director of Television at ITV (2008–2016), overseeing hits such as Downton Abbey, Broadchurch, and The Only Way Is Essex. In 2016–2017, he co-founded Expectation Entertainment with Tim Hincks, serving as Co-CEO and executive producing Clarkson's Farm, The Chelsea Detective, and Alma's Not Normal. He also created and co-wrote The Chelsea Detective for Acorn TV and has hosted the BBC Radio 4 Extra series What's Funny About… since 2020.
