Morgan Neville (born October 10, 1967, Los Angeles) is an Academy Award-, Grammy Award-, Emmy Award-, and Peabody Award-winning documentary filmmaker and the Founder & President of Tremolo Productions, which he founded in 1999 after graduating from the University of Pennsylvania (BFA) and working as a journalist. His film 20 Feet from Stardom (2013) won the Oscar for Best Documentary Feature and a Grammy for Best Music Film; Won't You Be My Neighbor? (2018) became the highest-grossing biographical documentary of all time; and Piece by Piece (2024) brought the Pharrell Williams story to life through LEGO animation. His most recent work includes Breakdown: 1975 (Netflix, December 2025), Man on the Run (Amazon MGM, 2026, about Paul McCartney/Wings), and Lorne (Focus Features, April 2026, about Lorne Michaels/SNL), with Cinetic Media now managing his expansion into scripted storytelling alongside ongoing representation by WME.
