Julian Murphy is a British television producer, director, and writer who co-founded Urban Myth Films in 2013 alongside Johnny Capps and Howard Overman. He previously served as Creative Director of the Drama Department at Shine (now Shine TV) for over a decade, where he co-created the multi-award-winning series Merlin (BBC1). At Urban Myth Films he has executive produced major international hits including A Confession (ITV), The One (Netflix), War of the Worlds (Fox/Canal+), the BAFTA award-winning The Lazarus Project (Sky), and the blockbuster action series Paris Has Fallen and its successor Shadow Has Fallen for StudioCanal.
