John Rickard is an American film and television producer born November 2, 1977 in Santa Barbara, California. After graduating from the University of Arizona (2001, business management) and working as an assistant to Scott Rudin, Brett Ratner, and New Line Cinema president Toby Emmerich, he spent nearly a decade producing at New Line Cinema, delivering hits including Rampage, Horrible Bosses, Horrible Bosses 2, How to Be Single, and Fist Fight. In 2019 he joined Peter Safran's The Safran Company as President of Production — a role he continues to hold — overseeing blockbusters and genre franchises including Blue Beetle, Peacemaker, The Monkey, The Conjuring: Last Rites, and Heads of State.
