Jeffrey Katzenberg (born December 21, 1950) is one of Hollywood's most influential media proprietors and film producers, best known for serving as Chairman of Walt Disney Studios from 1984 to 1994—where he oversaw the Disney Renaissance with classics like The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, Aladdin, and The Lion King—and as co-founder and CEO of DreamWorks SKG alongside Steven Spielberg and David Geffen, where he produced franchise hits including Shrek, Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon. In 2016, following the $3.8 billion sale of DreamWorks Animation to NBCUniversal/Comcast, he co-founded the venture capital firm WndrCo with Sujay Jaswa, which raised $460 million in 2024 and now manages over $1.3 billion focused on cybersecurity, consumer technology, and the future of work. He is also the founder of Quibi (2020), a defunct short-form mobile video platform, and has been a major Democratic Party fundraiser and political figure.
