Gareth Neame OBE DL is a Golden Globe, Emmy, and BAFTA Award-winning British television producer and executive, serving as Chief Executive Officer of Carnival Films — the NBCUniversal/Universal International Studios-owned British production company he joined in 2004, built into the UK's largest drama specialist, and sold to NBCUniversal in 2008. He is best known for originating and executive producing the global phenomenon Downton Abbey (69 Emmy nominations, 15 wins), and for an ongoing prestige slate including The Day of the Jackal (Sky/Peacock), Lockerbie: A Search for Truth, All Her Fault, and HBO's The Gilded Age. A fourth-generation film dynasty member (grandson of Ronald Neame CBE), he was appointed OBE in 2016 for services to drama, serves as a Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London, and is Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham.
