Frank Charles Spotnitz is an award-winning American television writer, executive producer, and showrunner best known for his nearly eight-season tenure on The X-Files, where he wrote or co-wrote more than 40 episodes and both feature films, earning Golden Globe wins, a Peabody Award, and Emmy nominations. In 2013, he founded Big Light Productions, a London- and Paris-based independent production company that has created and produced international drama series including Amazon's Emmy-winning The Man in the High Castle, Medici, Leonardo, Ransom, and The Indian Detective. He is currently executive producing the Swedish sci-fi series We Come in Peace for TV4 and ZDF, his first return to the sci-fi genre since The X-Files, and has projects including Nuremberg in active development.
