David Raymond Brown is a Los Angeles-based independent film producer, financier, and international sales executive who began his career as a production assistant and worked his way up through production management and accounting. He is best known for producing The Fallout (2021), starring Jenna Ortega, which won the Grand Jury Prize for Narrative Feature at SXSW, and for serving as executive producer on The Apprentice (2024), the Ali Abbasi-directed, Oscar-nominated film about a young Donald Trump. He founded Clear Horizon Entertainment (March 2019), Clear Media Finance (2021), and The Screen Company (2024), each offering production, financing, international sales, and distribution services. In August 2025, Brown was indicted on a 21-count federal indictment including wire fraud, transactional money laundering, and aggravated identity theft in connection with an alleged $12 million fraud scheme spanning December 2021 through August 2025.
