Danishka Esterhazy is an award-winning Canadian screenwriter and film director specializing in horror, thriller, sci-fi, and action genres, celebrated for her bold visual style and female-driven narratives. Her credits include Level 16 (2018), The Banana Splits Movie (Warner Bros., 2019), Slumber Party Massacre (2021), Sniper: The Last Stand (Sony, 2025), and serving as Producing Director on Syfy/Hulu's SurrealEstate and Netflix's Ginny & Georgia. She won the DGC Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement and the Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction – TV Movie for I Was Lorena Bobbitt, and was the inaugural winner of the Amazon Video Filmmaker Award at Sundance 2017. A dual Canadian/American citizen, she splits her time between Toronto and Los Angeles.
