Dallas Lawrence Jenkins (born July 25, 1975) is an American film and television director, writer, and producer specializing in Christian media. He is best known as the creator, director, co-writer, and executive producer of The Chosen — the first multi-season series about the life of Jesus of Nazareth, which became the most successful crowdfunded media project in history and has been watched by an estimated 280 million people worldwide. In September 2024, he launched 5&2 Studios, an independent studio overseeing The Chosen franchise and a growing slate of Bible-inspired film and television projects. His most recent feature directorial credit is The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024, Lionsgate), which grossed over $40 million against a $10 million budget.
