Chris Morgan is an American screenwriter and producer best known as the primary creative architect of Universal's Fast & Furious franchise, having written or co-written eight installments from Tokyo Drift (2006) through Fast X (2023), collectively grossing over $7.3 billion at the box office. He founded Chris Morgan Productions (CMP) in 2011, which launched with a first-look deal at Universal Pictures and has produced major theatrical and streaming titles including Hobbs & Shaw, Bird Box, Bird Box: Barcelona, and Red One (2024). Beyond the franchise, his credits include Cellular (2004), Wanted (2008), and the Fox series Gang Related, which he created and executive produced. A UC Riverside alumnus (B.A. Political Science, 1995), he is currently developing a standalone Hobbs film for Universal.
