Veteran executive and Academy Award-winning producer Cathy Schulman began her career in film in 1987 and is currently the President and CEO of Welle Entertainment, a film and television production company committed to producing content that appeals to diverse audiences, with an emphasis on women and girls. Her landmark credits include the Best Picture Oscar-winner Crash, The Woman King (Sony/TriStar, 2022), The Idea of You (Amazon MGM, 2024), and the Showtime limited series The First Lady, for which she also served as showrunner. A prominent industry advocate, she co-founded ReFrame, served as President of Women in Film from 2007–2018, and is a long-standing Board Member of Film Independent and the PGA.
