Avinoam 'Avi' Lerner (born October 13, 1947, in Haifa, Israel) is a prolific Israeli-American independent film producer and the Chairman and Founder of Nu Image, Inc., Millennium Films, and all related companies, now operating under the banner of Millennium Media. With more than 350 films to his credit — including The Expendables franchise, Rambo (2008), Olympus Has Fallen, London Has Fallen, and The Hitman's Bodyguard series — he is one of the most experienced independent producers in Hollywood history. Beginning his career managing Israel's first drive-in cinema, Lerner built a global entertainment empire spanning South Africa (Nu Metro Entertainment Group), Bulgaria (Nu Boyana Film Studios), and Los Angeles, where he has been based since 1992.
