Award-winning producer, director, and film financier Andrew van den Houten is a native New Yorker raised on Manhattan's Upper West Side who has been involved in the development, financing, production, and distribution of over eighty feature films. He is the founder of Hood River Entertainment (Los Angeles-based), a partner in Kamikaze Dogfight (film distributor/financier), co-founder of BLacklight with director Wes Miller, and a partner at 79th & Broadway Entertainment, through which he works on film finance, sales, distribution, and corporate consulting. His work has been recognized at Sundance, TIFF, the Independent Spirit Awards, SXSW, Fantastic Fest, Deauville American Film Festival, Sitges, FrightFest, and more. In 2026, he completed a new psychological horror-thriller feature, with premiere and release details forthcoming.
