Aleysa Young is a Canadian television and commercial director based in Toronto, best known for directing the first season of Baroness Von Sketch Show (IFC/CBC), for which she won a Canadian Screen Award for Best Direction in a Variety or Sketch Comedy Program. She has directed and executive produced multiple acclaimed Canadian comedies including New Eden (Crave), Workin' Moms (CBC), Kim's Convenience (CBC), Run the Burbs (CBC), and Ginny and Georgia (Netflix), and is a multiple Canadian Screen Award and Directors Guild of Canada Award nominee. She is also a co-founder of Hire Higher, an organization focused on connecting BIPOC talent with the commercial production industry.
