Adele Lim is a Malaysian-born, Los Angeles-based screenwriter, director, and producer of Chinese descent who graduated from Emerson College in Boston. She co-wrote the landmark 2018 Warner Bros. romantic comedy Crazy Rich Asians and Disney's Oscar-nominated animated feature Raya and the Last Dragon (2021), before making her acclaimed directorial debut with Joy Ride (2023, Lionsgate). In 2023 she co-founded 100 Tigers Productions with producer Naia Cucukov-Richards, focused on cross-cultural, female-forward commercial storytelling; she is currently directing The Princess Diaries 3 for Disney and serving as showrunner/EP of the Crazy Rich Asians series in development at HBO Max.
