About

Wendy Finerman Productions is an independent film and television production company founded in 1988 by Academy Award-winning producer Wendy Finerman, who in 1994 became the first solo female producer in Academy history to win the Oscar for Best Picture (Forrest Gump). The company's portfolio spans major commercial and prestige features — including The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Drumline (2002), Stepmom (1998), and Fairy Tale: A True Story (1997) — with a collective worldwide theatrical gross exceeding $1.5 billion and 140 award nominations. In 2026, the company produced The Devil Wears Prada 2 (20th Century Studios), a major box office success grossing over $685 million worldwide and reuniting the original cast with director David Frankel.
