About

Wattpad Studios (now rebranded as WEBTOON Productions as of July 2025) is the entertainment production and IP division of Wattpad and WEBTOON Entertainment, adapting popular Wattpad stories into film, television, animation, and digital content for a global audience. Operating out of Los Angeles, the studio is known for leveraging Wattpad's massive fan data and creator ecosystem to greenlight fan-proven stories, resulting in hits such as the After film series, The Kissing Booth, and the Through My Window Netflix trilogy. It operates as a joint studio arm of Wattpad (a social storytelling platform with 90M+ users) and Webtoon (a digital comics platform), both owned by South Korean conglomerate Naver Corporation. In July 2025, the studio formally rebranded from Wattpad WEBTOON Studios to WEBTOON Productions under new president David Madden.
