Wama Films is an Independent Film Production Company striving to engage audiences in dialogue, through the art of filmmaking.� The company was founded by Alonso Alvarez Barreda, a Mexican writer/director whose short films have been featured and honored in film festivals around the world including Cannes, New York, Heartland, Hollywood and Telluride. Mentored by award winning director Alejandro Monteverde, Alonso has received more than fifteen international awards and worldwide accolades.
