Vortex Media

Vortex Media is a Toronto-based boutique entertainment studio that integrates global distribution, international sales, and production under one roof, with a focus on film and television across all genres. Founded by Bill Marks (originally as Vortex Words + Pictures in 1982), the company rebranded as Vortex Media in October 2020 following the merger of Vortex Words + Pictures and A71 Releasing. The studio comprises three core divisions: Vortex Canada (theatrical releasing in Canada), Vortex International (worldwide sales and distribution), and Vortex Productions (an in-house production arm that self-finances and produces feature films and TV movies).
